Pattern: Removing Organizational "Scar Tissue" with Bohm Dialogue

Removing Organizational "Scar Tissue" with Bohm Dialogue

Forces:
Organizations need to learn from their mistakes.
When a problem occurs, a process or procedure can be put in place to prevent this from happening again.
Processes and procedures multiply endlessly and eventually the organization grinds to a halt.
The "cure" of adding another process can be worse than the disease.

Solution:
There needs to be a process for discovering, reevaluating, and discarding processes that are contradictory, no longer needed, or not worth the work. Bohm Dialogue, being a process that builds larger organizational perspectives can allow the organization to discover process and procedure that is no longer needed. Since getting groups together in one place at one time is onerous, technology can support distributed asynchronous Dialogue.
